Slow weekend overall. In town and fairly quiet.
First, a hike to Silver Star Mountain. Roughly 7.5 miles and Dolly Mae's first big hike post op. She seemed a bit stiff Sunday but overall she is doing well. There were tons of huckleberries to pick for cereal and dessert. YUM.
Bachelorette Party!! A few coworkers from my previous job came up for a double bachelorette party. We started at the Cuisina and the bride to be and others threw plates, drank ouzo and danced the night away "greek style". We were supposed to go to Darcelles, a fabulous drag caberet, but we were too late for our reservations. BUMMER!! I was really looking forward to it. So we went to Embers instead. and of course the famous cock and balls from Voodoo.
Mom and Dad were up on Sunday to say good bye to Brent. We went to Produce Row for sandwiches (although not as tasty as Kenny and Zukes) then off to Saturday Market. We capped the night off with Brent's blackened catfish, grits, and greens. Super tasty!! Followed by my huckleberry galette. Mellow day.
