So our kayak adventures involved getting the kayak to the water. The B & B loans out kayaks, but assumes you have a car. Oops. So we got a taxi to take us to an adjacent beach, paddled around for about 3 hrs and decided rather than paddle back and pay, we would break the rules and just pull into the Harbor next to the ferry and private dock. Ignorance is bliss right? No probs getting the kayak out and up the dock, but its about a 1/4 mi hike uphill. Not too daunting until you pick up the double kayak, take a few steps and realize it is stupid heavy!! I remembered dragging it upshore was heavy...
This is the moment when I stopped laughing. Try to find the humor David says?! I was looking forward to ice cream and shade.

The second night we stayed in a "boathouse". It was an old retired boat attached to a cabin. The tarp was a necessity, as the boat likely leaked... now it just smelled like mold. Oh well, it was a neat idea.

Off to Seattle we go!! We lucked out with more gorgeous weather with highs in the mid 80's!!

M's beat Red Sox 5-1!! It was a slow game until the 6th inning and a hot game in full 80+ degree sunshine until the 4th inning. Thank god for spicy food, beer, and garlic fries!!
Met up with my cousin and her roommate later for dessert/drinks.

Dolly Mae was very happy to see us when we returned. I think she misses my dad's lawn and all of the extra attention... not to mention the backyard full of endless squirrels!!
