This is the view from my new office. To the left is the Fremont Bridge, the I-5/ 405 interchange, and in the distance to the right is Forest Park. Not too shabby.WOW - My brain is on overload. Luckily, everyone is very kind and accomodating and my schedule is slow. I forget what it is like to work for a big company. The Organization I joined has over 9,000 employees, the town where the hospital I left has just over 8,000 residents. Perspective. Lots of new people and protocols. The first day alone I acquired my trusty 3 x 5 card with all my new codes, passwords, log ons, for the variety of programs, EHR, access areas, etc. YIKES. I may have them memorized by 2010.
First day was a 10 hour day with some clinic (shadowing) and OR time. Talk about jumping in!! Today was much more laid back. But the beauty is my 10 minute commute AND I haven't put gas in my car since my last day at the previous job! I'm going on 2 weeks without filling up!!
