SKIING!!

I went SKIING!!! First day out this season. This is just a random view up to the lodge, it was a bit too whiteout for great pictures. We have had an insane amount of snow the last 3-4 days in the mountains. There was over 17-18" of snow on Hood in the last 24 hours. I HAD to go up, so I went with a co-worker and we had a blast. He was on snowboard. The weather was so-so, it was so windy, they closed Meadows, but Timberline stayed open with limited lifts, so we stayed in the trees. The snow was fabulous, fluffy powder and I demo-ed some fat powder skis to make the most of it. Nice.



Bruno is a ginormous St. Bernard who lives downstairs at Timberline. His paws are bigger than my fist. I cannot imagine how much this dog eats...


Oh, but the best part of the day, I think I got a speeding ticket!! First one in 10 years!! SOOO pissed, I was running late to meet up with my friend to go skiing. It was just before sunrise and I see a flash, then notice it is mounted to a police van. Maybe the photo didn't catch my tags? I think I was only doing about 10 over. So mean!!
