What does Jessica do on a fabulous Saturday when all of her friends are skiing? She slogs up a snowy mountain in hiking boots of course! All with a wicked chest cold! So the NW was hit with some fabulous snow over 2 feet in 24 hours. Literally EVERYONE I know was headed up to Skibowl or Meadows. I was attending a mandatory hike for my class.We did Multnomah Falls to Larch Mountain. 8 miles up, 6 miles down, the last 3 miles up and down the slope in knee deep fresh powder with gaiters and trekking poles. All while carrying a heavy pack. I don't think I have ever been so tired in my life. I coughed my way up and here is the snowy, blustery view at the top.
Course is half done!!
Easter was a day of rest. The Easter Bunny visited and left me chocolates and lilies (thanks D). Although this appears to be abuse, DM tolerates the ears more than being brushed or having her toenails trimmed. Besides, she had an Easter cookie and Easter egg all to herself.
