So it's official. Miss Dolly Mae is going under the knife on February 3rd. I was bummed though, I called to make the appointment and her previous surgeon, Dr. Salinardi is no longer there. So new person, but pooch and I are seasoned veterans and all will be well. She has just progressed over the last couple of months and really hobbles after long walks or any sprints. May try taking her on a short snow shoe on Saturday. Can't help it, she REALLY loves the snow. Anyhow, a bit nervous about the whole surgery again, but have support from friends and taking time off work. Then she will be set for all the spring/summer hikes.
On a funnier note, I finally decided to pick up the guitar I acquired. I surfed the net for lessons on tuning, and found this great program within Garage Band on the Mac. So pooch has never been too fond of guitar. She would sit outside the room when B would play and could not stand to be within 1o feet. No thanks!! So I picked it up, started tuning, strumming, and she slinks away. After screwing around for about 45min, I decide to see where she went off to. This dog is rarely out of my sight as she must keep an eye on me, in case I should do something fun without her. To my surprise, she was all the way upstairs, in the bedroom, snoozing on her bed!?! I can't imagine my C chord was that awful? Such a critic!
