So I went up snowshoeing on the south side of St. Helens. Soggy, soggy day. Snow level at 6,000 and I was skeptical, my friend still motivated as he had yet to obtain his Christmas tree. In the town of Cougar, I got a kick out of all the orange "Hunters Welcome" signs. We're not in Portland anymore...
So I was out maybe 2 hours, rained on the entire time and soaked by the time we got back to the car.
But Dolly Mae had a fabulous time...
Luckily the day wasn't a total wash and there was a great show at the Doug Fir that night. "Portugal. The Man" headlined. Great indie rock guitar band out of Wasilla, AK. At least something decent came out of that town? "Jared Mees & the Grown Children" opened and they were too much fun with an electric fiddle and mandolin. Would see them again!!
